Don’t be alarmed! Don’t call the UNTHSC Police! It’s only a test!
At 10 a.m. today, Oct, 21, you may see alert beacons, receive Red Alert messages and see the emergency banner on the UNTHSC website home page. It’s only a test of the UNTHSC emergency notification system, including:
– The alert beacons, installed in 30 locations throughout UNTHSC will be activated.
– The Red Alert System (phone, text and email systems). Calls and texts will come from 817-735-2210.
– The emergency banner on the UNTHSC home page. You will see a test message at the top of the screen.
Please do NOT call the UNTHSC Police upon receiving these messages. Unnecessary calls may delay police response to an actual emergency.
If you haven’t recenlty updated your Red Alert contact information, please do so at my.hsc.unt.edu before the test.
