TCU & UNTHSC School of Medicine Grand Rounds: Advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) Algorithms

In this 60-minutes session, Dr. Tucker will present recent advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms that enable them to generate hyper-realistic data. Dr. Tucker will discuss the potential implications in STEM education and the advancement of the National Academy of Engineering Grand Challenges of Advancing Personalized Learning. For example, AI-generated 3D data could potentially help reduce the barriers to content creation for Virtual and Augmented Reality applications. AI-generated 2D data such as images/videos, could help personalize STEM contexts and increase students’ understanding of complex STEM concepts. Attendees will also learn about the future transformations in STEM education and the workforce, as a result of AI integration and advancements.
