Each fall, employee volunteers from across campus lead the UNTHSC Internal Giving Campaign that provides every HSC employee the opportunity to give back to our institution and community.
Historically, we have conducted the State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) concurrently with the Internal Giving Campaign so that employees can consider both the UNTHSC and SECC options for charitable support (the SECC allows employees to direct gifts to specific community nonprofit organizations).
This fall, we will separate the two campaigns to better clarify that gifts to the SECC provide external community support, while gifts to the UNTHSC Internal Campaign support the people and programs on our campus.
The State Employee Charitable Campaign will run during the month of September, with SECC catalogs and forms available for pick-up from centralized areas in Human Resources, the first floor of the PCC, CBH, MET, Library and all off-campus clinics. These should be returned to Tara Sambol in EAD 802 no later than September 30.
The newly branded HSC Campaign will then kick off on Monday, October 19, and run until Friday, November 13, providing employees the opportunity to support UNTHSC priorities (including the schools, programs, or other initiative of choice or the HSC Fund, formerly known as the Fund For Excellence).
In another change for 2015, the HSC Fund (again, formerly known as the Fund for Excellence) will support two to three clearly defined institutional priorities chosen in part from feedback given by UNTHSC employees. The selection process will consider the potential of each project to provide clear impact and benefit to those it touches, while demonstrating alignment with our HSC Values.
