Dear HSC Students,
The Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) authorizes funding via the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) II to higher education institutions to provide emergency financial aid grants to assist students with expenses related to COVID-19 disruptions and defray COVID-19-related costs to the Institution.
HSC Fort Worth has been allocated approximately $343,849 for emergency financial aid grants to assist our students. Eligible expenses include food, housing, health care, and childcare.
To qualify for HEERF II aid, students must meet both of the following qualifications:
- Enrolled in the current term or non-graduates that recently left the institution during the period of National Emergency due to Covid-19 (since 3/13/20).
- Eligible to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Students can apply for grants here.
Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis and will be prioritized based on exceptional need until all funds have been distributed. If a student is not eligible for HEERF II funding, their application will automatically be reviewed per the HSC Student Assistance Fund criteria.
Once an application is submitted, students will receive an email from the HSC Office of Care and Civility confirming receipt of their application. Funds will be distributed directly to the student via HSC unless the student chooses the funds to be applied to their student account.
