Seeking Healthy Volunteers for an Exercise Study

The University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) is looking for up to 15 subjects to take part in a study that examines if the normal amount of reactive oxygen species produced in the body plays a role in blood pressure, brain blood flow and heart rate regulation at rest and during exercise. This research study involves taking antioxidants and providing blood samples.

Volunteers should be between the ages of 18-35 and in good general health and able to exercise continuously (on a stationary bicycle) for approximately 35 minutes. In addition, if you smoke or chew tobacco/nicotine products you will be excluded from participation.

Time Commitment: 3 Visits (1 Orientation day and 2 Experimental Days)

Orientation Day: about 1 hour

Experimental Days: about 3 hours each (maximum 4 hours)

If you are a student or employee of UNTHSC your participation, non-participation or withdrawal from the study will in no way affect your academic standing or employment.

Volunteers will be compensated for their time and effort

If you are interested in participating in this study as a research subject, please contact Gilbert Moralez, via email (gm0150@live.unthsc.edu)
