Dear Faculty and Staff,
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Rama Dhuwaraha as Associate Vice Chancellor and UNT System Chief Information Officer. He has served in this role on an interim basis since May 1, 2015, after the retirement of Michael DiPaolo.
Rama has proven to be an effective partner in helping the UNT System and its component institutions with major strategic initiatives such as the PeopleSoft 9.2 upgrade project, Hyperion Budgeting System implementation, and Chart of Accounts redesign. He continues to collaborate with the presidents to advance campus initiatives, such as data warehousing, distance learning, and customer service technologies.
He initially joined the UNT System in 2013 as the Chief Technology Officer and has played a key role in improving the technology infrastructure, helped improve services to campuses and participated in strategic planning. Along with his current experience here, his extensive professional background, which includes more than 15 years in technology leadership positions with other organizations, has allowed him to strategically lead ITSS in an effective manner.
I’m confident that Rama will continue to add high value to the UNT System and its component institutions. His commitment to service and collaboration are evident in his interactions and results.
