2023 APFE Pre-Doctoral Fellowship Application – Part 1

DESCRIPTION
This fellowship will recognize a pre-doctoral student whose research focuses on either a disease area which disproportionately impacts under-served population, or whose research focuses on reducing healthcare disparities and improving health outcomes for under-served populations in the United States. Examples of this research could include sickle-cell anemia, asthma, HIV/AIDS, maternal and infant mortality, access to medication, etc.
Applicants to this award who are not selected will automatically be considered for a Pre-Doctoral Award in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The same eligibility requirements and deadlines apply for both awards.
REQUIREMENTS
- The AFPE recipient must be registered as a full-time student in a Ph.D. degree program in the pharmaceutical sciences administered by, or officially affiliated with, an accredited U.S. school or college of pharmacy.
- Students enrolled in a Ph.D. or joint Pharm D./Ph.D. program and have completed the equivalent of 3 full semesters of graduate credit toward the Ph.D. and will be awarded the Ph.D. degree within 3 additional years may be eligible for a pre-doctoral fellowship.
- They must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
