To HSC Faculty, Staff and Students
Dear Team,
With great teamwork and collaboration from our Institutional Policy Committee, UNT System Office of the General Counsel and departmental Subject Matter Specialist, we are proud to share that in January 2021, policy updates will be made to Policy Tech, HSC’s policy repository system, to include recent changes made under HSC’s Policy Transformation Project. In this project, over 400 policies were reviewed for efficiency and carefully reduced by 80%. Once these policies have been finalized for legal sufficiency and the President’s approval, they will be uploaded and available publicly via Policy Tech. Older policies will remain available for a limited time and will transition over to an archival space available in Policy Tech.
As we move closer to implementing these changes, you will receive additional resources to assist you in navigating the updated policies. These resources will include the following:
- Crosswalk of Old Policies to New Policies
- Writing Effective Policies and Procedure Handbook
- Updated Policy Tech Navigation Tutorial
- Policy on Policies
In addition, procedures created by departments can also be accessed in PolicyTech.
