NTERI Interdisciplinary Seminar Series: ‘Oxidative Stress in Optic Neuropathies’ by Cynthia Carroll, MA, LPC, CPPS, PNAP entitled ” Effective Teams in Ineffective Systems – the Rationale Interprofessionalism”.

We are pleased to announce that Cynthia Carroll, MA, LPC, CPPS, PNAP, will present a seminar as part of the North Texas Research Institute (NTERI) Interdisciplinary Seminar Series (ISS).

The seminar is entitled “ Effective Teams in Ineffective Systems – the Rationale Interprofessionalism“.

Cynthia Carroll is the Director of the UNT Health Science Center’s (UNTHSC) Department of Interprofessional Education and Practice and an adjunct instructor in Medical Education and Professional Identity and Systems-based Practice with the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM). Cynthia has a Master’s degree in clinical/counseling psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in psychology. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor with the State of Texas, a TeamSTEPPS® Master Trainer, a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and a Certified Professional in Patient Safety. She was inducted as a professional member of the Psychology Academy of the National Academies of Practice. Cynthia’s professional experience includes in-patient addiction rehabilitation, university student counseling, emergency department behavioral health, and health professions education. As director, Cynthia oversees interprofessional practice education and training for students, faculty, clinicians, and professionals across multiple institutions.
