Moorman honored by his peers in the state of Texas

Thomas Moorman, EdD, Vice President for Student Affairs, was recognized this week by the Texas Association of College and University Student Personnel Administrators for founding and serving as first chair of the TACUSPA Foundation and for his family’s generous support of the foundation.

The organization renamed its fellows program as the Thomas Moorman Fellows Program, only the second time in its 90-year history TACUSPA has named an award after a member of the organization.

John Kaulfus, TACUSPA Past President, called it "an honor well deserved."

The foundation raises money for graduate student scholarships, research grants and a fellowship program for new professionals in student affairs administration at institutions of higher education across the state.

In 2012, Moorman earned the organization’s James E. Caswell Distinguished Service award.

TACUSPA is an association of administrators, staff, faculty, students and others dedicated to advancing the student affairs profession in Texas colleges and universities.
