HSC Performance Payment Plan

UNT Health Science Center Employees:

In 2020, the People and Culture Council worked on a performance management system which includes objectives and key results for employees. That performance management tool is now fully implemented and more accurate performance data is available to identify and recognize team members who have achieved and/or exceeded HSC objectives.

In FY2022, HSC is implementing a one-time merit payment based on performance evaluations for the FY2021 review period. The implementation of this performance payment plan is a direct result of HSC’s commitment to employees with the purpose of rewarding and retaining high performers.

In the FY2022 budget a total campus wide pool of $3.3M is available for one-time performance payments to eligible staff and faculty to be paid on regular pay checks, November 1, 2021.

What are eligibility requirements?

• Staff performance evaluations that reflect meets or exceeds expectations.
• Faculty ratings that reflect quality or outstanding.
• Must be a full-time or part-time benefit eligible employee.
• Must be an active employee on November 1, 2021.
• Must have a hire date before February 1, 2021.

Supervisors will receive more information soon so that amounts can be determined and notifications can be made to eligible direct reports by September 22nd so that payment can be made on November 1, 2021. Please see the attached frequently asked questions for more information.
