Holiday gatherings are beginning, and one way to protect your loved ones is by getting the COVID-19 and flu vaccines.
HSC Health will be hosting a vaccine clinic TODAY, Tuesday, Dec. 14, with the COVID-19 first, second or third dose or booster and flu vaccinations for eligible individuals.
The event is scheduled from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Priority Care on the third floor of the HSC Health Pavilion. Employees, students and faculty are able to self-schedule their appointment at unthsc.edu/schedule.
Please note that the COVID-19 booster is now available to all vaccinated students, faculty and staff ages 18 and older if it has been more than six months since they received the Moderna or Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine or at least two months since they received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
The COVID-19 third dose is available for immunocompromised individuals, per CDC guidelines.
If you are scheduling your COVID-19 second or third dose or booster, you must bring your COVID-19 vaccination card to your appointment. Even if you received a COVID-19 vaccine at HSC Health, your vaccine card is critical to determining your eligibility for a booster. If you do not bring your card, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment.
