The HABS-HD Development Core is excited to announce the call for application for the 2023-2024 cohort of the HABS-HD Health Equity Scholars Program (HESP), anticipated to commence in September 2023.
The aim of the HESP is to provide curated mentored training in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRDs) to emerging scientists who are either from an underrepresented background or have an interest in health equity research. Under the guidance of their chosen mentor (from their local institution) and the leadership of the Development Core, the scholars will receive training in basic, clinical, translational, and community-engaged research competencies that will position them to become successful, independent, ADRD investigators.
The application process involves a 3-page research plan as well as a 2-page career development plan. More details about the HESP are included on the HESP website: https://healthequityscholarsprogram.medicine.wisc.edu/
