Dr. Nicholas Gilpin is Professor of Physiology at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Gilpin is an expert in neurobiological mechanisms underlying alcohol and drug addiction, pain, traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury. He is the founder and administrator of a social Slack forum that discusses topics, shares resources, and generates action plans related to improving racial equity in science and academia.
