HSC Staff and Staff Supervisors –
We previously provided guidance that you should work on content for your FY 2023 OKR plan related to your department’s strategic initiatives. We appreciate your efforts to finalize this content so that you will be ready to enter it into PeopleAdmin when the FY 2023 Staff Performance Evaluation Program is launched on Tuesday, Nov. 29. You can access the performance management system in PeopleAdmin.
The Values Journey that the UNT System Enterprise has embarked on means that several campus-specific processes are being re-evaluated. A key process is the staff performance management system. We will be working to consolidate and coordinate our campus programs in a way that supports our values. As a result, we are abbreviating the performance management timeline for FY 2023 so that staff at all campuses can move toward following the same performance management cycle. The review period for the current year will cover Aug. 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023. HSC will only have one check-in in February for this evaluation period with evaluations concluding at the end of May 2023. Future years will cover the period from April 1 to March 31, and the evaluation schedule will return to a year-long process. Please note that these changes and timeline apply to staff evaluations only.
We understand that many of you have already finalized your OKRs. Please note that some OKRs may need to be adjusted to reflect the abbreviated timeline for FY 2023. It is important that OKRs be achievable by the review period end date of March 31, 2023. To aid in meeting the tighter timeline, team OKRs are not required for FY 23. They will be optional.
An overview of the FY23 performance management cycle timeline follows:
Nov. 29 to Dec. 9, 2022 – Enter and Approve OKR Plan
February 1-15, 2023 – Performance Check-In
April 1-14, 2023 – Employee Self-Evaluation
April 15 to May 31, 2023 – Supervisor Evaluation, Second-Level Supervisor Approval, End-of-Year Meeting and Employee Acknowledge Evaluation
