E-Verify is currently unavailable

Due to the government shutdown the E-Verify program is temporarily unavailable. While E-Verify is unavailable, employers will not be able to access E-Verify accounts and create new E-Verify cases. During this time, we will also not be able to view or take action on any open cases.

New temporary process

• Please continue to submit I-9s as normal. This does not affect Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, requirements. The Form I-9 still must be completed no later than the third business day after an employee starts work for pay, and comply with all other Form I-9 requirements.
• All I-9s submitted will be reviewed for accuracy and moved to the status of Pending E-Verify, which will allow the ePar to be submitted. Please submit the ePAR and continue processing your new hire once you receive the “Pending E-Verify” email notification.
• All Pending E-Verify cases will be processed once the system has been restored.
