HSC Health will be hosting a vaccine clinic on Friday, November 5, with the COVID-19 booster, COVID-19 3rd dose and flu vaccination for eligible individuals.
The event is scheduled from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Employees, students and faculty are able to self-schedule their appointment at unthsc.edu/schedule.
When scheduling, choose HSC Campus, then choose either HSC Employee/Students Only COVID-19 Booster or HSC Employee/Students Only COVID-19 3rd Dose. The flu will be an option for either booster or 3rd dose.
Please note that the COVID-19 booster is available for those who received their primary series (first two doses) and meet the following eligibility criteria:
- 65 years and older
- 18+ who have underlying medical conditions
- 18+ who work in high-risk settings
- 18+ who live in high-risk settings
The COVID-19 3rd dose is available for immunocompromised individuals, per CDC guidelines.
You must bring your COVID-19 vaccination card to your appointment. Even if you received a COVID-19 vaccine at HSC Health, your vaccine card is critical to determining your eligibility for a booster. If you do not bring your card, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment.
While evidence has shown that there is benefit to the added protection of a booster dose for individuals, we continue to encourage those who have not received a COVID-19 vaccine to do so to protect themselves, those around them and reduce the spread of the virus.
