A Season of Giving

From the HSC Office of the President

Dear Faculty, Staff and Students,

With the holiday season in full swing, the Office of the President would like to help you embrace the spirit of the holidays. A Season of Giving is our week-long celebration of the accomplishments of our HSC team and a chance to give back to the community.

Every day, from Dec. 5 to 9, we’ll host fun themed events with holiday snacks. At every mini holiday party, you’ll have an opportunity to donate much-needed items to the community, such as coats, toys, food and more. We’ll also be encouraging you to write cards for people in our community who might need a kind word, including people at the Fort Worth homeless shelters, patients at Cook Children’s Hospital, veterans at a VA hospital and nursing home residents.

Please dress in festive attire. While donations are appreciated, they are not required. Give if you can. We only ask that you come ready to spread holiday cheer.

Below is a schedule of events. Please refer to the email flyer sent on Nov. 28 for the full details of each event.

Dec. 5: Campfire on the Courtyard, Library Courtyard, 3:30-5 p.m.

Dec. 6: Treats and Toys, Atrium Gallery in EAD, 8:30-10 a.m.

Dec. 7: Ugly Sweater Extravaganza, Atrium Gallery in EAD, 12:30-2 p.m.

Dec. 8: Comfort and Joy Station, IREB Lobby, 12:30-2 p.m.

Dec. 9: Games for Giving, Library Courtyard, 10 a.m.-noon.

We look forward to seeing everyone throughout the week. Wishing you a warm and safe holiday season,

Dr. Sylvia Trent-Adams
President
