Colby is a pleasure to work with. He never hesitates to jump right in and collaborate with others in HR and around the university to get the job done. For example, we are currently in the process of onboarding an international guest scholar. Colby has patiently guided me through the process and he’s taken the initiative to reach out to other departments to ensure our guest scholar has the necessary access to all systems. He can always be counted on to go above and beyond. I know that’s cliche to say but he really lives it in his daily work. Another example is how smooth he has made the student worker onboarding process. Each new semester brings a flurry of new student and TA hire activity. He has implemented a clear and easy-to-follow process, shares that process with all stakeholders, and keeps everyone in the loop with frequent communication about status. Colby never hesitates to go the extra mile to help get folks onboarded as smoothly as possible. When Colby steps in I am 100% confident he will get things done quickly, efficiently, and that he’ll follow-up and see the job through to completion.
