Ryan De Boer

Ryan De Boer is a voice teacher, clinician, singer, and researcher based in Denton, Texas. He has managed private voice studios in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and most recently in Sacramento, California. While in Sacramento, Ryan served as an adjunct faculty member in applied voice at American River College, presented on healthy singing to local school and community groups, and maintained a private studio of singers of all ages. Additionally, he sang with the Sacramento Master Singers and served as their vocal coach.

Ryan is an advocate for health and wellness among singers and hopes to promote mindful approaches to improved mental and physical health for all musicians. While at Penn State, Ryan researched yoga and meditation as tools for reducing performance anxiety. He hopes to expand on this by researching the efficacy and implementation of wellness programs within schools of music.

In addition to his studies as a Ph.D. student in Performing Arts Health, Ryan is a D.M.A. student in voice performance and a teaching fellow in the college of music at the University of North Texas.
