Marla Pair (Gracia)

Dr. Marla Gracia is a clinical audiologist Cross Timbers Ear, Nose, and Throat.  A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Gracia graduated Summa Cum Laude from Baldwin-Wallace College with a Bachelor of Arts in communication disorders. Her doctoral studies in audiology were completed at the University of North Texas where she worked with the faculty in UNT College of Music. She is licensed to practice audiology in the states of Texas and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competency through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Dr. Gracia performs adult and pediatric diagnostic hearing evaluations, tinnitus masking assessments, vestibular assessments, and hearing aid evaluations, fittings and verifications. Her clinical background also includes cochlear implant programming and electrophysiological testing.

Marla’s research interests are in the areas of noise-induced hearing loss, music-induced hearing loss, and hearing protective devices.  When a doctoral student she worked with Dr. Chesky and completed studies evaluating musician earplugs and student musician attitudes towards noise.  She presented this research at scientific meetings of the National Hearing Conservation Association.
