Licensure & Certification Notification Disclosure

All 50 state medical licensure boards recognize the Osteopathic Degree from an AOA (COCA) accredited Osteopathic Medical School as fulfilling the academic requirements for physician licensure. The AOA, via its COCA, maintains national accreditation standards for Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine.
All 50 state medical licensure boards recognize the NBOME COMLEX series of licensure exams as a national standardized series of licensure examinations for physician licensure. Additionally, the USMLE series of licensure exams are recognized in all 50 states. Students of accredited Osteopathic Medical Schools may take both COMLEX and USMLE licensure examinations.
