Dr. Schranz has been in practice as an academic physician with the University of North Texas Health Science Center’s Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine since 2001. He currently serves as an associate professor and Vice Chair of Education in the Department of Family Medicine. He currently serves as the director of both the two-month family medicine clerkship and the longitudinal preceptorship programs for his department. He is the co course director for Clinical Medicine for the 1st year students. In addition to educational responsibilities, he is in active practice as a family physician at the University’s satellite clinic where he also serves as preceptor for the Family Medicine Residency program. Dr. Schranz has published several articles for the ACOFP newsletter and the Journal of the American Osteopathic Association, as well as presenting abstracts at the North American Primary Care Research Group, Society for Teachers of Family Medicine and the American Osteopathic Association. He has completed fellowships in Academic Medicine and Health Policy. |
