Physician Accreditation Statements

The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to award continuing medical education to physicians. The University of North Texas Health Science Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.

Physician Credit Designation

The University of North Texas Health Science Center has requested that the AOA Council on Continuing Medical Education approve this program for 10 hours of AOA Category 2A CME credits. Approval is currently pending. The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth designates this live activity for a maximum of 10 AMA/PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

CNE Contact Hours

The University of North Texas Health Science Center is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Texas Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.  This activity provides 10 contact hours for the nurse.

CHES Accreditation

10 CHES credits are provided by the University of North Texas Health Science Center, which is approved as a provider of continuing education contact hours (CECH) in health education by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC).

Social Worker

Continuing education credit for social workers is provided through the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, sponsor number CS3743. This activity is approved for 1.0 CEU for Social Workers (equals 10 clock hours).

Other health professionals will receive a certificate for individual reporting.
