Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Kailee is currently a second-year student at TCOM. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Stephen F. Austin State University. At TCOM, she is a member of the ROME program, President of Gastroenterology Interest group, President of Sports club, Secretary of General Surgery Interest group, and Treasurer for Human Anatomy Society. In her free time, Kailee enjoys grabbing a drink with friends, running/biking the trinity trail, and exploring Fort Worth. She wants to welcome everyone to TCOM and hopes she can be a helpful resource!
Anika graduated from Southern Methodist University where she studied Biology and Studio Art. Throughout college, she was a Resident Assistant and worked closely with the orientation program at SMU. After graduating college, she took a year off and scribed for an Ob/Gyn in Dallas. Outside of school, she loves playing volleyball, painting, and exploring restaurants here in Fort Worth. She is extremely excited to welcome y’all to TCOM and hopes to make the transition to medical school a little easier!
Prathyusha is a current OMS-II at TCOM. She received her Bachelor of Science from The University of Texas at Dallas and her Master of Science from UNTHSC. First and foremost, she gives a big “Welcome and Congrats Class of 2026!”. Prathyusha is passionate about building a great community and her mission is to spend her time at TCOM creating meaningful experiences and memories. She is currently involved as the Class of 2025’s Student Government Secretary, as an Ultrasound TA, as the President of SOMA, as an HSC Next finalist, and more. In her free time, Prathyusha enjoys exploring Fort Worth, trying new cuisines, and spending quality time with her friends, family, and Milo, her Australian Shepherd. Prathyusha is eager to support the incoming TCOM students on their unique journeys here. She knows medical school can be a rollercoaster and encourages students to reach out for support at any time. She is excited to learn alongside all of you and help you achieve your goals here at TCOM!
Jerry received his Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology in 2021 from the University of St. Thomas, a small private catholic liberal arts university in the heart of Houston! Since coming to TCOM he founded his own organization called Arts in Medicine (AiM), which ~ aims ~ (haha, see what he did there) to highlight the beauty and importance that art can have as an avenue for healing. He hopes to bring his passions for art and medicine together and create opportunities that allow for creativity and service! When Jerry isn’t in the library or studying for the next exam you can find him doodling on his iPad, working out, or hanging out with family and friends. Jerry has absolutely loved his experience so far at TCOM and can’t wait to welcome the class of 2026! Don’t be afraid to reach out if you have any burning questions or just need a listening ear. You’ve made it, be proud of everything you’ve accomplished!
Katie just completed her first year at TCOM. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Southwestern University. Between graduating from college and beginning medical school, Katie worked as a college admission counselor and as the office manager for an outpatient psychiatry practice. Outside of school and work, Katie enjoys running, baking, spending time with her dog, Genevieve, and reading fantasy and detective novels. She is excited to meet and get to know the class of 2026.
Cecilia was born and raised in Houston, TX and received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Minor in Psychology in 2021 at the University of St. Thomas. She is a first-generation Vietnamese American student and the first (upcoming) physician in her family. During her first year at TCOM, she became involved on campus as one of the Class of 2025 Historians (@tcom2025), went on a mission trip with the Christian Medical Association, and is a mentor through the Joint Admission Medical Program. She is passionate about mentorship, especially since it has helped her get into medical school and survive her first year. During her free time, she enjoys weight lifting, hiking, playing ultimate frisbee, photography, and watching cat videos. If you need someone to rant to or someone to cheer you on, she'll be the one! She is excited to meet you all and can't wait to welcome you to the #1 Osteopathic medical school in the country!
Jeff is a second-year medical student at TCOM. He received his Bachelor of Science in Sonography from Weber State University. Prior to medical school, Jeff worked as a radiologic technologist and sonographer for ten years in Utah and Texas. He occasionally picks up shifts still when school isn’t too crazy. He loves working in the operating room and hopes to become an anesthesiologist. In his free time, Jeff loves mountain biking, lifting weights, and jumping on the tramp with his four kids.
Zoe is currently an incoming 2nd year TCOM student here at UNTHSC. She received her Bachelor of Science in Physiology from the University of Wyoming. Between schooling, Zoe has worked as medical scribe and ophthalmic technician. As well, she is passionate about volunteering at summer camps for children with serious illnesses, traveling on medical mission trips, and having been on a Search & Rescue team. As a native Coloradan, Zoe loves to travel to places with unique cultures, hike mountains (or just hills in TX), cooking new foods, exercising, and scuba diving. She hopes to encourage and support all her new TCOM peers as they begin their exciting journeys at TCOM!
Danielle is a current second year TCOM student and a part of the ROME program. She received her Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor in Belton, Texas. Prior to attending medical school she worked as a Device Clinic Manager at Brazos Heart Rhythm in her home town of College Station. She is passionate about trauma surgery, international medicine, disabilities rights, and serving the underserved. In her free time she enjoys going on hikes (if the weather is right), painting, and visiting her younger siblings. She wants to help ease the transition into medical school and be a support and resource to all incoming students.
Jackie is originally from Temecula, California and graduated from Baylor University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. During her time at Baylor, she played on the soccer team and now continues to live her washed up ex-athlete dream playing for TCOM’s sports club indoor soccer team. Reach out to her if you have an interest in playing! After college, she worked as a medical scribe for various sports medicine orthopedic surgeons and was involved onboarding and training new hires. She hopes to have that same welcoming experience for all of you at TCOM! When she is not studying you can find her exploring new coffee shops, buying yet another plant, and running around with her energetic black lab, Charlie. Choosing TCOM has been an incredible gift and supportive community so far, and she hopes she can help you transition and find your place in this family!
Katelyn is currently the Disability Rights, Education and Activism in Medicine Club President, Pediatrics Club Volunteer Coordinator, American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians National Representative, and Richards College ICC Representative here at TCOM. She received her Bachelor of Science and Arts in Human Development and Family Sciences from the University of Texas. Prior to her arrival at TCOM, Katelyn worked as a caregiver for children with disabilities, and volunteered at Dell Children’s hospital in Austin. She is passionate about serving others and wants to pursue a career in Pediatrics. In her free time, Katelyn enjoys taking spontaneous road trips, playing with her dog Sadie, and spending time with friends and family. She hopes to be an encouragement and support resource to assist the incoming class in reaching their goals!
Arielle is currently a second-year medical student here at TCOM. Before coming to UNTHSC, she got her Bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M, and a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas, with additional certificates in Spanish as well as Bioethics. Originally from Dallas, Arielle is the go-to person to ask about the best DFW coffee shops! When she’s not working part-time at breweries or drinking her fourth cup of coffee, she loves to cuddle up with her Scooby look-alike pup, Cupertino. She is passionate about mentoring, encouraging other minorities in STEM, and getting to be the first doctor in her family. Arielle is very excited to welcome the next generation of TCOM students and will do her best to make them feel right at home!
