HSC offers an expansive network of services, resources and programs to make your time here meaningful and transformative. The DSA team is here to help you thrive!

Our mission is to provide comprehensive resources, programs, and personal advising that prepare current and former students to be career ready in their respective discipline. This includes helping them identify and achieve present and future career goals and facilitating successful placement into their position of choice.

The Center for Academic Performance (CAP) is committed to helping all HSC students meet their personal and academic goals by providing academic counseling, writing support, peer tutoring, and a variety of workshops.

The International Services Office (ISO) provides immigration and advising services to the diverse UNT Health Science Center campus. The office assists students, scholars, and employment-based visa holders to navigate complex immigration regulations. Through individual consultations, workshops, and written information, the ISO helps over 200 foreign nationals maintain compliance with their individual visa requirements.

The Office of Care and Civility (OCC) strives to empower HSC students for behavioral and personal development through outreach and compassionate support. We accomplish this through services/programs that include Care Team, Be|Well, wellness & prevention programming, and student conduct, among others.

The Office of Disability Access is responsible for assisting students with disabilities by providing academic accommodations that will ensure equal access to the curriculum. We retain students’ documentation of their disability(ies) that substantiate a need for accommodations. We also serve as a liaison between students, faculty, and staff to determine the appropriateness of approved accommodations.

The Center for Student Life builds community and develops experiences that encourage and support student success. We provide a range of services, which include coordinating institutional events, planning new student orientation, developing leadership programs, supporting diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, overseeing student governments and organizations and collaborating with campus partners.

The Student Assistance Resource Center (SARC) is focused on developing partnerships, resources, and programs to support students’ needs. The SARC services include the Care Team, Fitness Center, Food Pantry, Student Emergency Fund, Clothes Closet, Wellness Coaching, and mySSP.

Testing and Evaluation Services (TES) supports all HSC academic programs’ assessment needs using innovative tools to measure student knowledge and provide valuable feedback to improve the educational experience.
