Nicki McGee, MPH, Ed.D
Director, Student Services

Nicki McGee earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Master of Public Health degree in Community Health from the University of North Texas and UNT Health Science Center respectively. Nicki completed her Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Management from Capella University in 2014.

Nicki has worked professionally at the UNT Health Science Center for over 12 years. Her experience includes Fitness and Recreation, Health Promotion, K-12 STEM Education, Student Development, and Student Conduct. Nicki is an active member of the Texas Association of Student Personnel Administrators and the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators.

Nicki is dedicated about helping students reach their full potential. She believes that there is not a one-size-fits-all approach to student development and works diligently in her role as Student Conduct Officer at UNTHSC to treat each student with respect and compassion.

Lori Saunders, MS
Assistant Director, Student Services

Lori Saunders received her B.S. degree in Business Administration from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama and earned a Master of Science degree in Leadership focusing on Education and Human Services from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

With a diverse background in sports marketing and higher education, Lori joined the Office of Student Development in 2009 after working in the School of Public Health for two years. Her experience developing programs that engage various constituents supports her current role where she is responsible for institutional events and programs such as the White Coat Ceremonies, Commencement, Student Clinician Ceremony and Discover myHSC Day.

In addition, her expertise in program management and logistics provides assistance to the academic departments in planning the annual commencement ceremonies. She enjoys creating innovative opportunities for the campus community to actively support student success.

Chelsea Lancaster, MLS
Student Services Associate

Chelsea earned both her BGS degree in Organizational Leadership and a Master of Liberal Studies in Organizational Leadership from Fort Hays State University.

She has worked in higher education for over seven years with experience in student programming, event coordination, student leadership, recruitment and orientation. She hopes to provide motivation, guidance, encouragement, and support to students throughout their college experience.

Chelsea has a passion for preparing students for leadership responsibilities through educational and student programming opportunities.

Ashlee Jimenez, MS, CCLS 

Student Services Associate

Ashlee earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development and Family Living from Stephen F. Austin State University and earned a Master of Science degree in Child Development, with a focus in Child Life from Texas Woman’s University.

Her passion for teaching students and working with children and families in a healthcare setting comes from six-years of experience as a Certified Child Life Specialist at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, TX. Her experience includes providing effective coping strategies for patients through play, procedural preparation and support, diagnosis education, grief and bereavement support and collaborating with the healthcare team. She was Chair of the Child Life Practicum Program, Internship and Practicum Student Supervisor, as well as a member of the Critical Care Bereavement Committee.

Ashlee enjoys providing opportunities that empower student leadership and inter-professional education practices. She hopes to encourage and promote students success as they work towards their academic and professional endeavors.

Melissa Brand

Student Services Assistant

Melissa earned an Associate of Arts Degree from Rend Lake College Ina, IL.

For over fifteen years, she has excelled in administrative support services that extend from a veterinary clinic to a wealth management firm. Throughout her career, the extensive experience she has gained as an office manager and administrative assistant prove her expertise in customer service, team building, coordinating meetings and travel, gathering data and compiling performance reports, and managing budgets and projects.

Melissa joined UNT Health Science Center in 2017 and has enjoyed motivating, supporting and assisting students as they pursue their professional development.
