Dr. Van Duser’s education began at Stephen F. Austin State University and continued at Texas Woman’s University in 1995, where she graduated with her B.S. in Psychology in 1998. While at TWU, she served in many student leadership roles and those experiences guided her to graduate from the University of North Texas with a M.S. in 2000 and an Ed.D. in Higher Education in 2002. Her first professional role in student affairs was at Texas Woman’s University where she served in Student Life for over 6 years before joining the University of North Texas Health Science Center.
Dr. Van Duser served UNTHSC as the Executive Director of Student Services in the Division of Student Affairs before entering her new role as Vice Provost of Student Affairs in 2019. Her role allows her the privilege of working with students, faculty and staff, while focusing on the holistic development of the campus community and ensuring the safety and well-being of students. She has gladly served the UNTHSC community for over eleven years and the field of higher education for over nineteen years. She is honored to be a part of a values-based culture that thrives on teamwork, collaboration, and celebration of the individuals that touch our daily lives.
Dr. Van Duser has lived in Fort Worth, Texas, with her eleven year old daughter, Brooklyn, for over seven years, moving from the Denton area where she lived for over 17 years. She is born and raised Texan, bleeds green, and is grateful each day that she has the privilege of serving students in higher education!

Dr. Moore earned her B.A. in Speech Communication in 2006 and M.S. in College Student Personnel Services and Administration in 2008, both from the University of Central Arkansas. After completing her graduate work, she relocated to Texas and started her first professional role as a Hall Director at Texas Christian University. In 2017, Dr. Moore earned an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.
Dr. Moore has served in the field of higher education for eleven years in many functional areas including Housing and Residence Life, New Student Programs, Admissions and Recruitment, Student Development and Academic Support Services. In 2010, she joined the UNTHSC team as a Student Development Coordinator. In 2013, she transitioned into the Director of Student Development. In 2016, Dr. Moore was provided a new opportunity to lead the Center for Academic Performance.
In her new role as Executive Director of Student Engagement, she will support all student services functions and facilitate collaborative initiatives to enhance the student experience. Dr. Moore is passionate about student engagement, development and success. She believes it is a privilege and joy to help students make connections, navigate campus resources and services and reach their academic and personal goals.
Dr. Moore lives in Haslet with her husband and two daughters. Texas has become their home, but they are still connected with their California, Kentucky and Arkansas roots. She loves being a mother and spending time with her family exploring new areas!

Dr. Nicki McGee earned her B.S. in Kinesiology in 2004 and M.P.H. in 2008 from the University of North Texas and UNT Health Science Center respectively. In 2004 she started her professional career working at UNTHSC at the Founders’ Activity Center as a fitness center instructor and facility manager. In 2014 Dr. McGee earned an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Management and her dissertation focused on leadership development program efficacy.
Dr. McGee has worked in higher education for over 15 years in functional areas including Health Promotion, STEM education, Community Outreach, Student Development, and Student Conduct. After an NIH grant ended in the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in 2008, she joined Student Affairs as the Health Promotion Manager. In 2009 she became the Director of Health Promotion and in 2016 she transitioned into the role of Director of Student Development and Student Conduct.
In her role as Executive Director of Enrollment Services, Dr. McGee will support all enrollment services functions including International Student Services, Testing and Evaluation Services, Office of Financial Aid, and the Registrar’s office. Dr. McGee is passionate about serving the student body and advocating for student needs to enhance their experience while at UNTHSC. She believes that there is not a one-size-fits-all approach to student engagement and retention, and she is privileged to connect students to the best resources based on their current season.
Dr. McGee lives in Weatherford, TX with her husband Matt and son Will. She loves her large family and has many brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews with whom she loves spending her free time. Her family is very active showing livestock at various stock shows in Texas, and they can be found in a pig barn about 6 months out of the year.
