Students at The University of North Texas Health Science Center have FREE, 24/7 access to virtual care services with TimelyCare. Students do not need insurance to access TimelyCare services. - TalkNow – 24/7, on-demand emotional support.
- Scheduled Counseling – Select the day, time and mental health provider of your choice. (nine visits per academic year)
- Psychiatry – Advanced mental health care, available upon referral from TimelyCare counselors or HSC Student Health. (Note – the Student Health Clinic also will continue to provide psychiatry services.)
- Self-Care Content – 24/7 access to self-care tools and resources, such as meditation and yoga sessions, helpful videos and short articles from experts.
Visit www.timelycare.com/unthsc or download the TimelyCare app (Apple/Google Play) from your app store, and register with your school email address. You can then start visits from any web-enabled device – smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop – anywhere in the United States.

To find a Psychiatrist who is covered under the UNTHSC Student Health Insurance: United Health Care, and one who is located in your area, please follow these instructions:
- Go to uhcsr.com
- In the “Search”box located on the top right, type in: University of North Texas and click “Search”
- The search will pull up the link for “Univ. of North Texas System”listed under “Find My School’s Plan.”
- Click on “Univ. of North Texas System” This should pull up the Univ. of North Texas System page.
- Click on “United Behavioral Health”under “Search for Provider” on the UNT System page.
- From
here, you can narrow your search for Psychiatrists by city, zip code,
and/or clinician name. You can also specify preferences on your doctor’s
gender, ethnicity, and areas of expertise.
