We provide a range of services, which include coordinating institutional events, planning new student orientation, developing student engagement and leadership programs, overseeing student governments and organizations and collaborating with campus partners. Latrice Moore Headshot

Latrice Moore, M.Ed
Director, Center for Student Life

Latrice received her Bachelor of Science in Theatre Arts, Acting, and Directing from Texas A&M University-Commerce and her Master of Education from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Latrice is an energetic Higher Education professional passionate about helping students achieve their future goals by instilling a sense of social responsibility and leadership. Her passion for this was inspired by mentors who supported her from undergrad to her current Ph.D. candidacy. Her commitment to fostering social responsibility and leadership echoes through her professional journey, marked by adeptness in enrollment strategies, expertise in student affairs, a knack for enhancing visitor experiences, and a love for sculpting leaders of tomorrow.

Latrice has a passion for illuminating the path for students to not just dream but to actualize their aspirations. She enjoys connecting with students, learning from their stories, and crafting experiences that empower them to become the influential world-changers of tomorrow.

Ashlee Jimenez, MS, CCLS
Assistant Director, Institutional Events

Ashlee received her Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development and Family Living from Stephen F. Austin State University and earned a Master of Science degree in Child Development, with a focus in Child Life from Texas Woman’s University.

Ashlee’s background and passion for working with students and program planning comes from her previous career in healthcare, as she served as a Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, TX. There she supported a 36-bed unit, while also Chairing the Child Life Practicum Program, Internship and Practicum Student Supervisor, as well as Chair and member of the Remembrance Breakfast Planning Committee. These experiences support her in her current role where she coordinates HSC’s annual Commencement Ceremony and White Coat Ceremony.

Ashlee enjoys providing opportunities that empower student leadership and inter-professional education practices.

Mari Goldston, M. Ed
Assistant Director, Student Involvement

Mari received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX and received her Master of Education degree from the University of North Texas in Denton, TX.

Mari’s passion for working with students started with her role as a Resident Advisor in undergrad. After graduating from A&M, she worked full time in the corporate sector before deciding to return to school to pursue her interests in working with students’ full time on college campuses. During the summer of 2022, Mari served as a NODA intern to assist with HSC New Student Orientation. Her experiences have led to her new role in supporting Registered Student Organizations (RSOs), student leaders/advisors, and leadership development.

Mari is looking forward to engaging with the students here while shaping their experience here at HSC and encouraging leadership development for tomorrow’s future leaders.

Brianna Smith, MS
Assistant Director, Student Engagement

Brianna received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotions and Masters of Science degree in Health Promotions from Texas A&M University- Commerce in Commerce, Tx.

Brianna’s background and passion for working with students comes from her previous experience as a student leader on campus, combined with her professional experience in helping students reach their personal and professional goals. In her previous roles she acted as an advocate for different student groups to ensure their experiences on campus were nothing less than positive and empowering. These experiences support her in her current role where she works in the area of student engagement.

Brianna enjoys partnering with students, faculty, and staff to co-create positive learning environments and student success initiatives.

Vasquez

Jerrie Vasquez
Sr. Student Services Coordinator

Jerrie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management & Merchandising from the University of North Texas. Her desire to work in higher education comes from her previous time at UNT planning weekly & large events for college students through a college ministry for 3 years.

She started at HSC in 2021 in the Admissions & Recruitment department where she helped coordinate interview days, myHSC Day and retention events for incoming students.  Jerrie’s background in event planning and passion for incoming students to make lifelong relationships provides the tools necessary to coordinate all of the in person and online student orientations at HSC.

Jerrie enjoys providing opportunities that allow students to engage with one another to grow lasting relationships.

Roxanne Quiroz
Student Services Specialist

Roxanne received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship from The University of North Texas in Denton, TX.

Prior to her arrival at The University of North Texas Health Science Center, Roxanne worked in Student Activities and Student Academic Affairs. Her experience in administrative support, event planning, and customer service assists her now in her current role working with student leaders and providing support for the Center for Student Life.

Roxanne is passionate about working with students and is excited to meet the students our office serves. She hopes to use her experience to help students achieve their student engagement goals and to create a positive impact here at HSC.

Brian Rodriguez
Student Services Specialist

Brian received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from The University of Texas at El Paso in El Paso, TX.

Brian joined the Center for Student Life in 2022 after working with the Office of Care & Civility & the Career Readiness Center for over 2 years. Brian’s experience in administrative support, managing marketing & promotional efforts, & providing services to students assists in his current role supporting student organizations & providing support for the Center for Student Life.

Brian is excited to use his education and experience to create a welcoming atmosphere for students & create a positive impact at HSC.
