Tarrant County welcomes new Public Health Director
The UNT Health Science Center School of Public Health (UNTHSC-SPH) and the Tarrant County Health Department recently hosted a welcome reception for the county’s new Public Health Director, Dr. Veerinder “Vinny” Taneja.
Taneja has more than 13 years of public health experience, having previously served as Deputy Health Officer and Acting Director of the Wayne County Health Department in Michigan. He succeeds Lou Brewer, PhD, who served as Tarrant County’s health director for 14 years, retiring in May 2014.
