SPH Dean named Volunteer of the Year

SPH Dean Dr. Richard Kurz has been named as the Dr. Adela N. Gonzalez Volunteer of the Year by the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and UnitedHealthcare, Latino Health Solutions. He was recognized at a recent Health Care Professional Awards ceremony, honoring individuals who have performed “outstanding service in their profession while making a difference on behalf of the Hispanic community.” Dr. Kurz currently serves as president of the Board of Directors for the Fort Worth Hispanic Wellness Coalition, a non-profit organization focused on providing opportunities for access to health care and information through the annual Hispanic Wellness Fair and other healthy living programs. He has been active in Hispanic Wellness Fair planning and sponsorship for the last five years.
