SPH colleague named to national research administrators board

Remotigue_RobynUNTHSC School of Public Health Research Manager Robyn B. Remotigue has been named to the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA), through special appointment from the Board’s incoming chair representing Vanderbilt University.

NCURA serves its members and advances the field of research administration through education and professional development programs, the sharing of knowledge and experience, and by fostering a professional and collegial community.

Ms. Remotigue has been with the UNTHSC School of Public Health (SPH) since 2013 and is responsible for supporting and promoting faculty research activities. She also directs the Office of Research Services for both the SPH and Texas Prevention Institute. Prior to joining UNTHSC, she spent 22 years with Mississippi State University (MSU) in various roles and departments, including regulatory compliance, grants information and grants/sponsored projects administration. Most recently, from 2007 to 2013, she was Assistant Director of Grants and Contracts for MSU.

She is the author or co-author of numerous professional papers and has presented at both national and regional NCURA meetings over the last six years, in addition to teaching for the Mississippi State University College of Business.

A Certified Research Administrator (CRA), Ms. Remotigue holds a master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from Mississippi State University and a bachelor’s in Communications from the University of Cincinnati.
