Research Scientist Dr. Lin Tan Accepts Assistant Professor Position at the University of Arkansas Dr. Lin Tan has accepted a tenure track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Psychological Science at the University of Arkansas starting Fall 2023. Dr. Lin Tan joined the research teams of Dr. E. Y. Mun at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in 2021 after completing her postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan. Her research interests include the development of emotion regulation in children, alcohol misuse prevention among young adults, and data analytics.

Dr. Tan expressed gratitude for the support and opportunities at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, saying, “I am grateful for the opportunities that the School of Public Health has provided me and the incredible mentorship and guidance of Dr. E. Y. Mun. I wouldn’t have been able to achieve this career milestone without the collective efforts and resources at HSC.”

Dr. Mun, a Health Behavior and Health Systems Professor who has mentored Dr. Tan for the past two years, said, “Big congratulations to Lin. We are very proud of her accomplishments and wish her all the best in her new career chapter.”

It also represents the trainees’ success in demonstrating their capabilities and potential in the field, which is crucial for building a successful career in academia.
