Applications to the UNT Health Science Center School of Public Health are reviewed holistically. Applicants are encouraged to submit their strongest application as each applicant and application will only be reviewed once a cycle. Upon submission of your application, there is between 4-8 weeks before you can anticipate a response to your application. In that time, all requested items must reach the application service. This includes recommendations, official transcripts, and test scores.

Once applications have been verified, application materials will be sent on to UNTHSC School of Public Health. You will receive an automated email when your application reaches our system. SPH Admissions will then process and review the application before presenting it to our Faculty Admission Committee. We appreciate your patience as your application is taken through this process.

Due to the unprecedented challenges created by the current Covid-19 pandemic the UNTHSC School of Public Health is amending its application requirements for the remainder of the Fall 2020 cycle. Students submitting applications to be considered for Summer 2020 online programs or Fall 2020 online and on-campus programs can review amendments to our admissions requirements by clicking on the button below:

COVID-19 Admission Policy Updates

SPH Cohort Programs (MPH, MHA, MS)

Priority Deadline-March 15th. All applications that have been completed, submitted, and verified by the application service will be considered for scholarship opportunities, no additional application is required. We suggest submitting your application by February 15th to allow time for SOPHAS verification.

Admissions Application Deadline-June 1st. Application reviews will conclude on June 1st unless program seats fill earlier in the admissions cycle.

MPH Professional Option Online

Online only programs accept applications for the fall, spring and summer semesters, and can be completed on a part-time basis taking one class each session (recommended pace if you work full-time) or full-time taking two classes each session. Online courses are taught in an accelerated 8-week format with five sessions each academic year.

MPH Public Health Leadership Online

Online only programs accept applications for the fall, spring and summer semesters, and can be completed on a part-time basis taking one class each session (recommended pace if you work full-time) or full-time taking two classes each session. Online courses are taught in an accelerated 8-week format with five sessions each academic year.

MHA Online

The MHA online program accepts applications for fall and spring semesters, and will be completed on a part-time basis taking one class each term. Online courses are taught in an accelerated 8-week format with five terms each academic year.

UNTHSC School of Public Health recommends allowing up to 4 weeks for SOPHAS or HAMPCAS to complete coursework verification and processing. Consider your goal to "submit" your application 1 month prior to the deadline listed.

Upon submission of your SOPHAS or HAMPCAS application, there is between 4-8 weeks before you can anticipate a response to your application. In that time, all requested items must reach the application service. This includes recommendations and official transcripts/test scores.

UNTHSC School of Public Health recommends allowing up to 4 weeks for SOPHAS or HAMPCAS to complete coursework verification and processing. Consider your goal to "submit" your application 1 month prior to the deadline listed.
Upon final completion, the application service will conduct an initial evaluation of the degree and transcript records. Once verified, application materials will be sent on to UNTHSC. You will receive an automated email when your application reaches our system. SPH Admissions will process and review the application before presenting to our Faculty Admissions Committee.
