Welcome to the University of North Texas Health Science Center School of Public Health!
Located in the heart of Fort Worth’s Cultural District, the School of Public Health offers exceptional education and training for tomorrow’s public health leaders.
We are passionate about improving the health of communities in North Texas and around the globe. Our mission at the School of Public Health is to create solutions for a healthier community by advancing public health knowledge through research, service and the education of public health professionals.
At the School of Public Health, we value inter-professional education, research and practice, and we strive to develop public health leaders prepared to work in inter-disciplinary settings.
Whether it is addressing infant mortality in the city of Fort Worth, studying the distribution of disease, injury and risky behavior in the United States, or reducing incidence of infectious disease in rural villages of India, our faculty are leaders in translating research into community action, and in anticipating and responding to new and emerging public health threats.
Moreover, we are committed to reducing the health inequities that negatively affect underserved and disadvantaged communities in North Texas, the nation, and other parts of the globe.
The School of Public Health is home to a vibrant and diverse scholarly community that embodies experiences and viewpoints from around the world.
