Fall Cohort – Academic Advising & Registration

Welcome to School of Public Health at the UNT Health Science Center. We are excited about your arrival to campus. After you have submitted your Admissions Decision Form and assurance fee you will need to register to attend a School of Public Health Academic Advising & Registration (SPHAAR) sessions.

At this event you will:
Meet with faculty advisors.
Receive your fall semester schedule.
Learn about the practicum experience.
Hear from the Deans about graduate school expectations.
Spend time with current students to receive advice on how to make a successful transition to UNTHSC.

Technology Note:

All new students (except MHA, MPH Online and certificate/non-degree students) will be receiving a laptop that will be included in your fees. The fee for the laptop is $2,000. The laptops will be disbursed during New Student Orientation or a designated date. See particulars about your technology package.

In addition, all students regardless of program (degree, certificate or non-degree) that enroll in online courses will be required to have a webcam.

MAC OSX 10.7 Lion or higher, Intel Processor, 1 GB Ram or better

PC Windows 7, 8, or higher, Dual-core 2.4 Ghz CPU, 2 GB Ram or better

Plug-Ins: Javascript Enabled & Third Party Cookies Enabled

Internet Connection: Cable Modem, DSL or better (300 kbps download, 250 kbpsupload)
