Red Alert is a mass notification system utilized by UNT Health Science Center to quickly send information about emergency situations to the health science center community. Red Alert is used for critical situations, such as campus closings and public safety emergencies.
All students, faculty, and staff are automatically enrolled in Red Alert using the telephone numbers you provided to UNT Health Science Center during the registration or hiring process. Log in to your myHSC web page at my.hsc.unt.edu to ensure your contact information is correct and get in the habit of updating the information as soon as it changes. Click on the Red Alert graphic on your myHSC home page to update your contact information.
Red Alert allows UNT Health Science Center administrators to quickly contact campus community members about emergency situations affecting the safety and well being of people on and around the UNT Health Science Center campus. The system sends voice messages to phones, including cell phones, of all active faculty, staff and students. The system also can send text messages to cell phones if you grant the system permission to do so before hand. You can enter up to three phone numbers, and you will be contacted at all of the numbers you provide.
Red Alert is a service provided by Connect-ED, a division of Blackboard.
