Who Are We?
We are an interdisciplinary team of researchers working to understand ASD across the lifespan. Our team members have expertise in psychology, neuroscience, physical therapy, biomechanics, kinesiology, engineering, and clinical research management. We approach scientific questions from many different perspectives, to understand how many different systems in the brain and body work together.
Like many scientists, we do not seek to “cure” ASD. Instead, we work to understand how the symptoms of ASD–and their underlying biological processes– impact quality of life and activities of daily living. We are using science to find new ways to help people with ASD, and to highlight their strengths. We believe that people with ASD have many wonderful skills and perspectives to offer the world!
