Cardiovascular Research Institute

We’re Up to the Challenge

Founded in 1995, the Cardiovascular Research Institute (CRI) stands committed to battling heart disease and stroke. Beyond furthering our understanding of cardiovascular disease, we are intent on improving the techniques used in the prevention, detection, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular disease as well as in the rehabilitation of its victims.

The diseases we target are unfortunately all too familiar: myocardial infarction, hypertension, congestive heart failure, and stroke. We also investigate factors such as obesity and diabetes that increase the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Our mission consists of a multidisciplinary program designed to promote basic and clinical research, education, clinical practice and community outreach programs in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of cardiovascular disease in human beings of all ages.
