Liz Medders

Director of Enrollment and Records & Registrar


Liz has been employed with the UNT Health Science Center since 2001. She began as an Administrative Assistant and worked her way up through Director of Admissions for the School of Public Health and to her role as the Director of Enrollment and Records & Registrar within the Division of Student and Academic Affairs. She oversees the Registrar and Student Records team that supports and serves students, faculty and staff from the five colleges/schools as well as other programs on campus. Some of the services provided include Veterans education benefits, university catalog, Residency Official, student insurance and immunization requirements, tuition assessment and academic records, enrollment/transcript/diploma requests, grading activities, certification of degree requirements all while ensuring the confidentiality and accuracy of student records. Liz completed her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of North Texas.

LaTarra Lewis, MHA

Director of Enrollment and Records


LaTarra “LT” Lewis earned her A.S. degree in Chemistry from Garden City Community College in Garden City, Kansas, and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington. She, later on, completed her Master of Healthcare Administration from Kaplan University and completed courses toward her Master of Business Administration as well. Before joining the Registrar and Student Records Office in November 2014, LaTarra worked in Higher Education in the proprietary sector in which she excelled in many different roles, the latter being a Career Services Advisor. Her daily encounter with students of various backgrounds and socio-economic statuses fueled her desire to help others appreciate education and help them achieve their career goals.

Courtney Jones

Enrollment Services Coordinator


Courtney Jones graduated with her Associate of Arts Degree from Tarrant County College in 2018. Throughout her college career she interned at a DFW financial firm where she worked closely with maintaining client files and answering office phone calls. She began her Higher Education Career with HSC in the Division of Student and Academic Affairs – Registrar and Student Records Office in 2018. In her current role, she focuses on managing the HSC Catalog, and processing student academic records, and student enrollment requests. Courtney enjoys the opportunity HSC brings to serve others on a daily basis and helping students achieve their greatest goals.

Jessica Martinez

Jessica Martinez

Enrollment Services Associate


Jessica received her degree in Family Studies from Texas Woman’s University in 2017. Following graduation, she worked for a local DFW charter school network as a Community Engagement and Enrollment Specialist. Her time at a charter school allowed her to work closely with families on enrollment for each new school year. Jessica made the move to higher education recently in November of 2020 by joining the Division of Student and Academic Affairs in the Registrar and Student Records Office at UNTHSC. In her current role, she assists with processing student academic records and student enrollment requests. Jessica is delighted to have joined the Registrar and Student Records team. She enjoys the ability to engage with students by assisting with their needs.

Ashley Galloway

Enrollment Services Associate


Ashley earned her B.S. degree in Communication with an emphasis in Journalism and Public Relations from Eastern New Mexico University. Before joining the Registrar Team in 2021, she worked at the Lubbock County Courthouse as a Deputy District Clerk. She recently moved back into the higher education environment because of her passion for learning and helping others. Ashley enjoys her current role because she gets the opportunity to interact with the HSC students, faculty, staff and alumni on a daily-basis.

Laina Allen

Enrollment Services Associate


Laina was not born in Texas, but she got here as quick as she could! Laina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Biology from Texas A&M University and a Master’s degree in Environmental Education. She also completed coursework towards an MBA at UTSA. For several years, Laina served as an environmental educator, first for children attending programs at nature preserves and then later as an instructor for pre-service teachers at the university level. Laina also worked for more than a decade in educational assessment. Before coming to HSC in 2022, Laina served as the certification officer in the College of Education at Texas A&M International University. Laina considers herself a life-long learner and is passionate about helping others achieve their academic goals.

Pamela Chavez

Enrollment Services Assistant


Pam received her degree in History with an emphasis in Political Science from Texas Woman’s University (TWU). Pam began her Higher Education Career at TWU’s Financial Aid Office as a Financial Aid Assistant. Throughout her time there she worked closely with students answering any questions pertaining to federal financial aid processes and maintained student records. Before joining HSC in 2022, Pam worked at CVS Pharmacy as a Customer Health Care Concierge. In this role, she was able to assist customers by helping them navigate healthcare services and products within the HealthHub. In her current role, she focuses on helping the Registrar and Student Records Office monitor, maintain and oversee student and alumni records. Pam recently returned to higher education because she missed helping students achieve their educational goals and looks forward to doing so at HSC.
