Every ten years our Institution goes through a rigorous, multifaceted reaffirmation process with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC.) It serves as the common denominator of shared values and practices among the diverse institutions in the Southeast region of the US.
As you know, COVID-19 has and will continue to impact our world both personally and professionally for an indefinite period of time. Like you and so many others, I am navigating the new normal of remote work, homeschooling, and concern for the health and safety of loved ones.
It’s great to have all our new students on board and welcome back our returning students. As our orientation activities and white coat ceremonies conclude, we now shift to the heart of the Fall semester. It’s certainly not what I imagined but I am so appreciative of the extraordinary teamwork, dedication, and resilience to advance our purpose of transforming lives to improve the lives of others!
Beginning this month, the campus community will notice a sustained uptick in on-campus activities now that all programs are progressing into their “return to learn” components. The following highlights specific days and times where those activities will peak in volume and are important to be aware of in the upcoming weeks.
We continue to make progress in our Return to Learn initiatives at HSC. As mentioned before, this is a massive undertaking and couldn’t be achieved without everyone stepping up to the challenge. Thank you!
