Dan Feehan, Regent
UNT System Board of Regents
Feehan was appointed in 2019 to the UNT System Board of Regents, and his term expires in 2025. He serves as chairman of both FirstCash Inc. and AZZ Inc. He previously received the Outstanding Alumni Award from the Texas A&M Mays Business School and was named the Top CEO of a Public Company by the Fort Worth Business Press.
Dr. April Wiechmann, Associate Professor
Dr. Wiechmann is the Past President of the Faculty Senate at HSC. She is a Neuropsychologist and functions as the Medical Director of Integrated Behavioral Health and the Clinical Medical Director for Geri-Psych. She serves on the TCOM Promotion and Tenure Committee and spent six years with HSC Faculty Senate. She has taught medical students at TCOM for 12 years and supervises medical students and residents in her clinic. She has served as a TCOM advisor to over 100 students.
Jerry Emerson, Senior Lead
HSC Culture Development
Emerson began work at HSC in 2013 as Custodial Services manager before becoming senior lead of Culture Development. He graduated from the University of Arkansas with a vocal performance degree, and in 2010, he earned a Master of Divinity.
Dianna Nguyen, DO/PhD Candidate
Nguyen has completed her first two years at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and is now on the doctoral portion of her studies with the HSC School of Biomedical Sciences. She recently was the first HSC student awarded the highly competitive F30 Dual Doctoral-Degree, Predoctoral Fellowship from the National Institutes of Health.
Leah King, President and CEO
United Way of Tarrant County
King became president and CEO of United Way of Tarrant County in November 2019 after serving as executive vice president and chief operating officer. In her role, she provides leadership, sets strategic direction and ensures operational excellence aligned with the values and mission of United Way of Tarrant County.
Mike Moncrief, Former Mayor
Moncrief is a former Texas judge and public servant who served as the 43rd mayor of Fort Worth from 2003 to 2011. He was elected to the Texas Legislature in 1970 and served for two years. He also served as judge of the Tarrant County Commissioners Court before being elected as a state senator from the 12th District.

Navejar founded The Rios Group Inc. in 2012 after 25 years in the banking industry and 11 years as president of the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. As president, she is responsible for the strategic development and daily operations of The Rios Group, which specializes in subsurface utility engineering and utility coordination.

Auld is the managing partner of Kelly Hart & Hallman LLP and chair of the firm’s appellate section. She previously taught at Baylor Law School as a tenured professor of law. At Kelly Hart & Hallman LLP, she works primarily on complex civil appeals involving labor disputes, antitrust matters, oil and gas issues, and claims against Class 1 railroads.
