The Police Department houses a fully functional communications center with state-of-the-art radio and computer equipment.  The Communications Division serves as the central hub for emergency communication to the University.

The Communications Division is supervised by Sergeant Oscar Rodriguez. Some of the services provided by the communications division include:

  • Available to the University community 24/7 by telephone, TDD, and walk-in
  • Receive emergency and non-emergency phone calls
  • Radio dispatch officers and monitor their activity
  • Monitor fire, burglar, and access control alarm systems for the entire campus
  • Monitor university security cameras and dispatch officers to incidents
