HSC utilizes an access control system for all University properties. This system involves the use of keys and card keys for entry. There are various doors, garages, and elevators throughout campus that require a card key with the correct access to enter. This access is granted based on the student’s or employee’s department.
Keys are assigned and tracked by the Police Department’s Access Control office. The campus has a locksmith who creates a key based on the Access Control office’s request. Each student and employee has a list of keys which are assigned to that person and must be surrendered once affiliation with the University has ended.
The Police Department on campus can monitor and lock or unlock all card key entries from the dispatch center.
If you have any questions about Access Control on campus, please contact the Access Control office at the HSC Police Department.
