Dr. Emad Shoukry is board certified in Internal Medicine as well as Geriatric medicine. He graduated from Ain Shams School of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt. He subsequently did his Internal Medicine residency in Paris, France. After his arrival in the USA, he enrolled in the Internal medicine residency program at Newton Wellesley hospital in Newton, Massachusetts. He finished his residency in 2003 and joined the Geriatric fellowship program at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. He worked as a hospitalist in Nevada and in Delaware between 2004 and 2014. He is currently the medical director of the STEP program at UNT, where he is helping with the geriatric population transition to a home setting after hospitalization. He is also seeing new and established patients in the Geriatric clinic at UNT.
