FitSteps for Life® is the pioneer and leader in cancer exercise treatment; prescribing individualized and structured exercise treatment specifically for cancer patients. Clinical Exercise Specialists work directly with each patient to prescribe appropriate exercises based on their diagnosis and physical capabilities.  Exercise prescriptions include aerobic exercise, resistance training, and core strengthening, along with upper and lower body stretching techniques. Monitoring of metrics during exercise (pulse oximetry, blood pressure, heart rate, heart rate recovery, RPE) ensures a safe environment for patients.

How to Participate

Anyone with a current or previous cancer diagnosis is eligible for FitSteps. A physician referral by the patient’s primary physician or oncologist is required. FitSteps for Life is provided free for the lifetime of the patient.

The Cuisine for Healing Outreach Food Program is providing free meals designed to bolster the immune system, clear the body of toxins and help the person recover faster. The program is offering FitSteps clients 20% of all the meals they order from Cuisine for Healing and are provided free delivery. However, if a patient is 150% below the federal poverty index, they qualify for Cuisine for Healing’s Medically Referred program and may be eligible for free meals.
