Willis Receives Outstanding Research Award from School of Public Health at UNT Health Science Center

Benjamin Willis, MD, received the Kenneth H. Cooper, MD, MPH, Award for Outstanding Research from the University of North Texas Health Science Center.

The award is given to the School of Public Health student who demonstrates excellence and quality in the application of research methods. The award includes a plaque to be displayed on campus and a $250 monetary award.

Willis is a native of Denison. He is a graduate of Austin College, holding a bachelor of arts degree. He also holds a medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.

Willis was also named to the Deanâ??s list.

He received both awards at the School of Public Healthâ??s annual awards banquet on May 5.
