Doctor And Patient Discussing Something While Sitting At The Table . Medicine And Health Care Concept. Doctor And Patient

Seventeen UNT Health Science Center physicians and Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine faculty members have been selected by their peers as top doctors for listings in Texas Monthly, Fort Worth Magazine and 360 West.

A TCU and UNTHSC School of Medicine physician also was recognized as a Health Care Hero by the Fort Worth Business Press.

All three magazines recognized two UNTHSC physicians and TCOM faculty members from Geriatrics: Janice Knebl, DO, MBA, Professor of Geriatrics and Alvin Mathe, DO, Assistant Professor of Geriatrics.

“Their purpose, their contributions to the health of our community and to the health care providers of the future are reflected in the success of our TCOM students,” said Frank Filipetto, DO, Dean of TCOM. “For that, our students and I are extremely grateful.”

The physicians are dedicated to serving others, said Jeff Beeson, DO, Chief Medical Officer of UNT Health.

“Our physicians don’t come to work for recognition, but the work they do is worthy of recognition,” he said. “We are extremely proud and want to thank them for serving our patients, students and our community.”
