UNT Health at Alliance now seeing primary care and women’s health patients

UNT Health‘s new women’s health and primary care physician practice office in far north Fort Worth opened in early January.

Christopher Stevens, MD, board-certified OB/Gyn, Jaremy James, DO, general internal medicine specialist, and certified nurse midwives are now seeing patients at UNT Health at Alliance.

The new office is located at 12650 North Beach Street in the Saratoga Marketplace.

Strategic plans for UNT Health, the physician group and clinical enterprise of the UNT Health Science Center, are on target to meet the needs of residents in the rapidly expanding northern corridor of Tarrant County.

"Current demographic trends indicate substantial growth in far north Fort Worth, particularly between Heritage Trace Parkway and the Alliance Corridor," said Kathleen Forbes, MD, chief executive officer of UNT Health and executive vice president for Clinical Affairs and Business Development for the Health Science Center. "This growth triggers a corresponding need for physicians from various specialties, most importantly, that of primary care."

To better meet patients’ increasing health care needs, proven health-care delivery models, such as group medical visits, are planned for the new office, as well as extended hours. UNT Health at Alliance has 15 exam rooms and two procedure rooms. Additional medical specialties will be available in the future, said Forbes.

UNT Health at Alliance will accept most major insurance plans. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call (817)735-2100.
